My role is the recruitment consultant and my responsibilities are to pre-screen individuals to identify their knowledge in care and to either place them into a training interview or into an experienced interview and proceed with their applications right up to getting them booked for any physical trainings or right out to work. 

Professional Background

I joined Karisa Healthcare in August 2022 after moving from Anguilla, where the Health and Social Care Sector is nowhere near as big as it is in the UK. This came as a surprise to me as in Anguilla, the amount of care, nursing homes and supported living facilities are minimal, this is something that I found interesting and ignited an interest for me to begin working within the Care Sector in the UK. I started working with Karisa Healthcare as a Recruitment and Compliance Apprentice, I successfully passed and completed this in November 2023! I now focus more so on Recruitment; pre-screening potential candidates and interviewing those who meet the requirements that we have in place, one of the biggest ones being that they pass the VIP Test, this meaning that I would be happy for them to look after someone who is very important to me.
